Young Adults – Do They Make Good Prospects?
Many may think young adults see themselves as invincible and not interested in health care services. However, recent polls reveals young adults, ages 18-30, are concerned with health and are interested in health insurance coverage.
Almost 9 in10 young adults say having insurance is very important and felt it is something they need. Only 11% of those surveyed felt they were healthy enough to go without insurance.
Here are the complete results:
87% – It is very important to them personally to have insurance
88% – Insurance is something I need
11% – I’m healthy enough that I don’t really need insurance
68% – Insurance is worth the money it costs
66% – Worried about paying medical bills for a serious illness or accident
49% – Worried about paying medical bills for routine health care

This data indicates that the young adult demographic could be the next big worthwhile and rewarding market to prospect.
