Young Adults – Do They Make Good Prospects?

Young Adults – Do They Make Good Prospects?

Many may think young adults see themselves as invincible and not interested in health care services.  However, recent polls reveals young adults, ages 18-30, are concerned with health and are interested in health insurance coverage.

Almost 9 in10 young adults say having insurance is very important and felt it is something they need.  Only 11% of those surveyed felt they were healthy enough to go without insurance.

Here are the complete results:

87% – It is very important to them personally to have insurance

88% – Insurance is something I need

11% – I’m healthy enough that I don’t really need insurance

68% – Insurance is worth the money it costs

66% – Worried about paying medical bills for a serious illness or accident

49% – Worried about paying medical bills for routine health care
