Light The Night Walk
Warner Pacific was a sponsor of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s annual Light The Night Walk held last Saturday at Warner Center Park in Woodland Hills. Light The Night Walk is the largest cancer fundraising evening walk in the country, with more than 250,000 participants across 200 communities.
Light The Night Walk is an evening filled with inspiration. Champions For Cures carry illuminated balloons – white for survivors, red for supporters and gold in memory of loved ones lost to cancer. Thousands of walkers – men, women and children – form a community of caring, and bring light to the dark world of cancer.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is making cures happen by providing patient support services, advocacy for lifesaving treatments and the most promising cancer research anywhere. The 2013 campaign raised $274,673.
Forty years ago, there was only a 3% chance of surviving childhood leukemia. Today, 90% of children with leukemia survive. Incredible!
Light The Night Walk is a community celebration of music, entertainment and camaraderie where friends, family and co-workers gather to celebrate their fundraising success and demonstrate their support in the fight against cancer.
Warner Pacific employees from Property and Casualty, Marketing and Large Group were on hand to do their part for this worthy cause. The supporters were full of energy and ready for the 2-mile walk. Everyone on the Warner team finished the walk – YAY!
